  • RUNNING STITCH:


    This is the simplest of all stitches .the needle runs for equal distances over and under the ground of the material. This is called as an outline stitch. The distance between the stitch should be in equal distance.

     

    STEM STITCH:

                This is also called as outline stitches. This stitch is used in crewel and many kind of flower embroidery. The thread should be on the right of the needle. The stitch should be evenly sized to get perfect stitch.
  • CHAIN STITCH:

                This is a loop stitch. Here to get a chain stitch the thread is passed through the point of the needle as it emerges from the bottom of the fabric to form a loop. The stitch is used as an outline as well as filling stitch several stitches variations in chain are whipped chain stitch, magic stitch, zig zag chain, cable chain etc

 

 

  • BLANKET STITCH:

    Blanket stitch is similar to the buttonhole stitch and especially used to finish edges of blankets. Equal distance should be maintained between the stitches to get a good effect.
